Establish chest-to-chest side control.

Drive the knee up
Slide your near knee onto their belly, post the other foot out wide and posture up tall, hands controlling the collar/hip.

- Drive the knee into the soft of the belly and sit your weight onto it.
- Post the outside foot wide for a stable, mobile base.
- Stay tall and heavy, KOB pressures them into mistakes to attack.
Common mistakes
- Kneeling on the hip or chest instead of the belly.
- Keeping the base narrow and getting bucked off.
- Sitting low instead of posturing tall over the knee.
