Cookie Policy
Last updated
DARCE is operated by Kellert Labs (Australia).
This Cookie Policy explains how our website at darce.app uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
In plain English
- Cookies are small files a website stores on your device.
- We keep the site lean: only what is needed to run it, plus cookieless analytics that store nothing on your device. No advertising cookies.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
This summary is for convenience only and is not part of the agreement. The full text below governs.
01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use the term to cover similar technologies such as local storage, pixels and software development kits. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep it secure, and understand how it is used.
02Cookies we use
We keep this website deliberately lean. We use cookies and storage that are strictly necessary for the site to load, work and stay secure. For analytics we use PostHog in a cookieless mode: it helps us understand which pages bring people to our waitlist, but it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, and it does not track you across other websites. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we ever add tools that store data on your device or track you across sites, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
Categories of cookies
- Strictly necessary — required for core functions such as page loading, security and remembering your choices on this notice. These cannot be switched off through our site.
- Preferences — remember settings such as your choices, so the site behaves the way you expect.
- Analytics and performance — we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (PostHog) to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. It sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
- Advertising — we do not currently use these.
03Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by the providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting and content-delivery provider, for essential and security purposes. Our analytics provider, PostHog, processes de-identified usage events under its own privacy policy. In our cookieless setup it does not store cookies or other data on your device.
04How to control cookies
Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored and block or delete them through their settings. You can usually set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. Because our current cookies are strictly necessary, blocking them may stop parts of the site from working.
Browsers may also offer a "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control" signal. Where the law requires us to honour such a signal, we will. For help managing cookies, see your browser's support pages.
05Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy as our website and tools change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. For any questions, contact us at hello@darce.app, and see our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information more generally.
