Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated
DARCE is operated by Kellert Labs (Australia).
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using DARCE. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses the Service. The most important rule is simple: get consent for anyone you film, and don't misuse the Service or harm others.
In plain English
- Only upload footage of people who have agreed to be filmed and analysed.
- No illegal, infringing, abusive or harmful content — ever.
- Don’t hack, scrape, overload or reverse engineer the Service.
- Break these rules and we may remove content, suspend you, or close your account.
This summary is for convenience only and is not part of the agreement. The full text below governs.
01Consent for footage you upload
The golden rule
Before you upload any footage, you must have the consent of every identifiable person in it — your training partners, coaches and anyone in frame — and permission from the gym or venue. Where someone is under 18, you must have their parent or guardian's consent.
- Do not film or upload people covertly or without their knowledge and agreement.
- Do not upload footage you do not have the right to use.
- If a person in your footage withdraws consent, stop using that footage and delete it.
- Respect any filming rules set by your gym, academy, competition or venue.
02Content you must not upload
You must not upload, store or share content that:
- is unlawful, or infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- sexualises or exploits a minor in any way — we have zero tolerance and will report this to authorities;
- is violent extremist, terrorist or abhorrent violent material;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, defames or vilifies any person or group, including on the basis of a protected attribute;
- reveals another person's private or personal information without their consent; or
- contains malware, or is designed to interfere with or damage any system or data.
03Things you must not do
- use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
- harass, abuse, threaten or impersonate others, including our staff;
- use the Service or its outputs to stalk, dox, intimidate or otherwise harm any person;
- infringe our intellectual property or that of others, or remove proprietary notices;
- misrepresent your identity, age or affiliation, or create accounts using false information; or
- encourage or help anyone else to do any of the above.
04Technical and security limits
- do not reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Service, except where the law allows it;
- do not scrape, crawl, harvest or use bots or automated means to access the Service beyond what we expressly permit;
- do not circumvent, disable or interfere with security features, rate limits, or access controls;
- do not probe, scan or penetration-test the Service without our prior written permission;
- do not overload, disrupt or impair the Service or the infrastructure it runs on; and
- do not use the Service, your content or our outputs to build or train a competing product or model.
If you are a security researcher and believe you have found a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to hello@darce.app and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before disclosing it.
05Reporting abuse and removal requests
If you believe content on the Service breaks these rules, infringes your rights, or includes footage of you that you did not consent to, contact us at hello@darce.app with enough detail to identify the content. We will review reports and take action we consider appropriate. To ask us to remove footage you appear in, include enough information for us to locate it.
06Enforcement
We are not obliged to monitor content, but we may review it, and we may investigate suspected breaches. Where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken, we may, with or without notice, remove or restrict content, issue a warning, limit features, suspend or terminate your account, and report conduct to law-enforcement or other authorities. We are not liable for action taken in good faith to enforce this policy or to comply with the law.
Serious or repeated breaches may result in permanent loss of access. Enforcement under this policy is in addition to our other rights under the Terms of Service and at law.
07Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Questions can be sent to hello@darce.app.
