AI Grappling Coach
No-gi moves fast. Film a roll on your phone and DARCE reads it position by position, the passes, sweeps, back takes and leg locks, then gives you a breakdown and the one position to drill next. Pick BJJ when you upload.
From one no-gi roll to your next position.
- 01
Film
Record a no-gi roll on your phone, from the feet or from the knees. One fixed angle is enough: no rig, no markers, no sensors.
Roll 02 · 02:00 · single angle
- 02
Analyze
DARCE follows the roll from position to position: guards, passes, sweeps, back takes and the leg entanglements.
18 positions · 3 back takes read
- 03
Breakdown
See where you gave up position and why: the pass you let through, the leg entry you made without the hips, the scramble that gave up your back.
Weakest: back exposure in scrambles
- 04
Drill
It hands you the one position to fix next, like controlling the hips before you enter the legs, or not turning your back in a scramble.
Drill next: back escapes
Built for no-gi, from the feet to the leg locks.
- Technique library
- 39 BJJ techniques mapped step by step, including heel hooks, toe holds and kneebars, inside a library of 90+.
- Weakness detection
- Find the scramble you keep losing before someone takes your back in it.
- Personalized drills
- Fixes from your own no-gi rolls: the position to work on, tied to the moment you lost it.
- Progress tracking
- Every roll you upload moves your Fighter IQ, shown against your own average, so you can see if you are climbing.
- Leg locks included
- Entanglements and leg lock entries are part of the read, not an afterthought.
- From the feet
- Takedowns are part of the BJJ analysis, so the read keeps up when the roll starts standing.

The library is shared with BJJ and holds gi and no-gi techniques, each mapped step by step.
Key facts about DARCE
- DARCE analyses a filmed round of live sparring, read position by position across the whole round, in BJJ, wrestling, striking and MMA, and the same four analyses read sparring in Muay Thai, kickboxing, judo, sambo, no-gi grappling and other martial arts.
- The analysis is not limited to a technique list: it names what happens in the round from a vocabulary of 260+ positions, moves and finishes across the four martial arts, while the 90+ technique library is a separate step-by-step reference you can read free on darce.app.
- A DARCE breakdown has four parts: a round summary of who controlled the round and where it turned, a position timeline mapped to the second, the key moments that decided it, and up to 3 fixes, each tied to the moment it happened with one line on why.
- A breakdown is usually ready one to two minutes after the upload finishes.
- Film on your phone from a single fixed angle, in landscape, at about chest height for stand-up and higher, angled down, for rolling; no rig, sensors or markers are needed, and a round of up to 2 minutes can be analysed.
- DARCE is a mobile app for iOS and Android with no web or desktop version; it is in private beta, onboarding the first 50 founding testers from the waitlist at darce.app/join, and is not yet publicly downloadable.
- DARCE is free for founding testers during the beta, and pricing after the beta has not been announced.
Questions before you start.
Can an AI really coach no-gi grappling?
It does not replace your coach or the rounds you put in. What it gives you is the film review most grapplers never get: a clear read on your rolls, leg locks and scrambles included, and one position to work on next.
Does DARCE score my rolls like an ADCC referee?
No. It is not a judge. It reads your rolls: positions, passes, sweeps, back takes and leg locks. It keeps no points or advantages under ADCC or any other ruleset.
What footage do I need?
Just your phone. A single fixed angle of a live roll is enough. No rig, no sensors, no markers.
What does it cost?
Founding testers get free access through the beta. Pricing comes later, and early testers will have a say in it.
