Step by step

  1. 01

    Mounted on the bottom

    They are mounted on you, protect your neck and frame.

    Trap the arm & leg, bridge

    Trap one of their arms to your chest and their foot on that same side, then bridge your hips up and over your shoulder.

    Roll up into their guard

    Roll them over the trapped side and come up settled inside their guard, on top.

Key details

  • Trap BOTH the arm and the foot on the same side or the roll fails.
  • Bridge over your shoulder, not straight up.
  • Follow the roll all the way up into their guard.

Common mistakes

  • Bridging without trapping the arm and leg.
  • Rolling straight back instead of over the shoulder.
  • Leaving the neck exposed during the bridge.
